2009 series information

Great Lakes Dragaway's  Import Wars is a 7 race series put on once a month,
April through October and is open to ALL Import and domestic Sport Compact cars. No matter what type of Import or Sport Compact you have there is a class for you. No car is too fast or too slow.

The 5 classes are broken into 3 Bracket (dial-in) classes and 2 Heads-Up classes.

The 3 Bracket classes begin with the word “Super” and begin with even numbers

Super Street is the 15.00 seconds and slower bracket class.

Car numbers begin with #400,
The cost is $45 to enter and this is a single elimination race. This class is part of the points series and points are awarded for every round won.

This class is usually filled with daily driven cars and where most racers start out.

Super Mod is the next fastest class for cars that dial-in between 13.00 and 14.99.


Car numbers begin with #600.
$45 to enter and this is a single elimination race.
This class is part of the points series and points are awarded for every round won.

This class is usually filled with highly modified street cars.

Super Quick is the fastest of the bracket classes
Car numbers begin with #800.
The cost is $65 to enter and this is a single elimination race.

you must qualify with a 12.99 or faster to enter.

You must dial-in within .20 (2/tenths) of your qualifying time.
Slower cars will be bumped to the Super Mod class and credited $20.
This class is part of the points series and points are awarded for every round won.


The 2 Heads-Up classes begin with the word “Pro” and begin with odd numbers.

Pro-FWD is open to ALL Front wheel drive import/sport compact vehicles and is limited to one power adder.

Pro-Outlaw is our “anything goes” class. No rules other than safety rules.
Open to any and all Import/Sport Compact door vehicles.
First car to the finish line wins, period!
